Francis Bickley Will

This is the last Will and testament of me Francis Bickley of Lineal in the Parish of Ellesmere in the County of Salop Gentleman as follows that is to say first I direct all my just debts and my funeral expenses and testamentary expenses be fully paid and satisfied I give and bequeath unto Thomas Lowe of Ellesmere aforesaid Postmaster and my nephew Joseph Hignett of Hordley in the said county Farmer the son of my late sister Margaret their executors assignors and sub assigns the sum of six hundred pounds in trust to and for the uses intents and purposes hereinafter expressed and declared concerning the same that is to say I direct my said trustees or the survivor of them his or their executors administrators or assigns to call up and demand the payment of six hundred pounds which is now owing to me on bond from Samuel Wilding and John ap Richards (both deceased) and place the said sum of six hundred pounds out at interest upon some good and sufficient security or securities either real or government and pay and apply the interest dividends and produce thereof unto my present wife Hannah for her own use and benefit during the term of her natural life and from and after her decease I direct my said trustees for the time being to pay and apply out moiety of the interest dividends and produce of the said six hundred pounds unto my daughter Anna Maria Edge during the term of her natural life and also pay the same into her own proper hands to the intent and so that the same may be for her sole separate and peculiar use and benefit and in nowise subject or liable to the debts control engagements or interference of her present or any future husband and I do hereby direct that the script or scripts of her my said daughter Anna Maria notwithstanding reverture shall from time to time be a good and effectual discharge or discharges to my trustees for the same and also I do hereby direct my said trustees for the time being to pay and apply the other moiety of the interest dividends and produce of the said six hundred pounds to my daughter Margaret during the term of her natural life and also pay the same into her proper hands to the intent and so that the same may be for her sole separate and peculiar use and benefit and in nowise subject or liable to the debts control or engagements or interference from her husband should she at any time hereafter marry and from and after the decease of my said daughter Anna Maria I direct my said trustees for the time being to pay and apply the sum of fifty pounds (part of the said six hundred pounds) unto the child or children of my said daughter Anna Maria to be actually divided between them if more than one share and share alike but if in case my said daughter Anna Maria should die without leaving issue of her body living at the time of her decease then and in that case I do hereby direct that the said fifty pounds and also two hundred and fifty pounds other part of the six hundred pounds making together the sum of three hundred pounds and all interest that may be due thereon shall be paid unto my sons Samuel and Andrew and my daughters Mary, Elizabeth, Frances and Martha to be equally divided between them share and share alike and if in case any of my said sons or daughters should be then dead and leave a child or children living at the time of their decease I direct that such child or children shall be entitled to receive such share as would have been due and payable to his her or their parent had he she or they been still living and also if in case my said daughter Margaret should hereafter marry have issue of her body living at the time of her decease I do hereby direct my said trustees for the time being to pay and apply the sum of fifty pounds other part of the said six hundred pounds unto the child or children of my said daughter Margaret to be equally divided between them if more than one share and share alike and if in case my said daughter Margaret should die without leaving any issue of her body living at the time of her decease then and in that case I also direct my said trustees for the time being to pay and apply the said sum of fifty pounds together with the sum of two hundred and fifty pounds the remaining part of the said six hundred pounds unto my said sons Samuel and Andrew and my said daughters Mary, Elizabeth, Frances and Martha to be equally divided between them share and share alike and if in case any of my said sons or daughters should be then dead and leave a child or children living at the time of their decease I direct that such child or children shall be entitled to receive such share as would have been payable to his her or their parent had he she or they been still living I give and bequeath the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds unto my daughter Elizabeth for her own use and benefit and to be paid to her at the expiration of twelve calendar months next after my decease I give and bequeath the sum of sixty pounds unto my daughter Mary Poulter for her own use and benefit and to be paid unto her at the expiration of twelve calendar months next after my decease and if in case my said daughter Mary shall die before the said legacy becomes payable I direct that the said sum of sixty pounds shall be paid unto and equally divided between her children share and share alike and further I do hereby direct that all my household goods furniture bedding linen plate china and books be sold by public auction as soon as convenient after my decease and the money arising from the sale thereof together with all my ready money and money out at interest and all other the Rest Residue and Remainder of my Personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever I will and direct shall be equally divided between my said sons Samuel and Andrew and my said daughters Mary, Elizabeth, Frances and Martha share and share alike and if in case any of my said sons or daughters should be then dead and leave a child or children living at the time of their decease I direct that such child or children shall be entitled to receive such share as would have been payable to his her or their parent had he she or they been still living and lastly I nominate constitute and appoint the said Thomas Lowe and the said Joseph Hignett the Executors of this my last will and testament Provided also and my will is that my said trustees and executors shall not be answerable the one for the other of them or for any involuntary loss and that it shall be lawful for them to reimburse themselves their costs and expenditures in discharging the trusts hereby in them reposed and revoke and make void all former wills codicils and other testamentary dispositions by me at any time heretofor made and I declare this only to be my last will and testament In witness whereof I the said Testator Francis Bickley have to the two first sheets of this my will contained in three sheets of paper set my hand and to this third and last sheet thereof my hand and seal this eighteenth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty two - Francis Bickley - Signed sealed published and declared by the said Testator Francis Bickley as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as attesting witnesses thereto Robert Williams of Loppington Edw.d Dickin of Lyneal -

On the 10th May 1851 admon (with the will annexed) of the goods chattels and credits of Francis Bickley late of Lineal in the Parish of Ellesmere in the County of Salop Gentleman deceased was granted to Andrew Bickley the son and Frances Firkin widow the daughter of the said deceased two of the Residuary Legatees named in the said will they having been first sworn by ????? duly to administer. Thomas Lowe and Joseph Hignett (son of Testator's late sister Margaret) the Executors and Residuary Legatees In trust named in the said will having renounced the probate and execution thereof and also the Letters of Admon with the said will annexed and of the goods of the said deceased (as by Acts of Court appears).
