Indenture Benjamin Neville 1771

Hampshire Archives and Local Studies reference number: 5M52/T106.

This indenture relates to a mortgage over a property called Willersley Warren. Benjamin Neville was executor of the will of Henry Bradley of New Alresford which provides a link between him and the place where his daughter was married. The clerk spells Neville with an 'e' at the end but Benjamin signs without an 'e'. This suggests the presence or absence of the final 'e' is not significant in differentiating families.
