This indenture relates to the lease of a property called Willersley Warren. Benjamin Neville was executor of the will of Henry Bradley of New Alresford which provides a link between him and the place where his daughter was married.

This Indenture of three Parts made the twenty fourth Day of December in the eleventh year of the Reign of our sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain ffrance and Ireland King Defender of the ffaith and so forth and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy Between Henry Bradley of New Alresford in the County of Southampton Gentleman of the first Part James Dicker of Overton in the said County Gentleman of the second Part and Benjamin Neville of the Parish of Saint Swithin near the City of Winchester in the County aforesaid Butcher of the third Part Witnesseth that for and in Consideration of the Sum of five Shillings of lawful Money of Great Britain to each of them the said Henry Bradley and James Dicker in Hand paid by the said Benjamin Neville at or before the Sealing and Delivery of these Presents the Payment and Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged They the said Henry Badley and James Dicker have and each of them hath granted bargained and sold and by these Presents do and each of them doth grant bargain and sell unto the said Benjamin Neville All that Land commonly called Willersey Warren formerly a Warren of Conies nigh Overton in the said County of Southampton and all Liberties Commodities and Profits to the said Premises belonging or appertaining Which said Premises are held by Lease for three Lives absolute from the Lord Bishop of Winchester To have and to hold use and enjoy the said Land and the Liberties Commodities and Profits thereof and all and singular other the Premises herein before mentioned and intended to be hereby bargained and sold with their and every of their Appurtenances unto the said Benjamin Neville his Executors Administrators and Assigns from the Day next before the Day of the Date of these Presents for and during and unto the full End and Term of one whole year from the next ensuing and fully to be compleat and ended if the Lives by which the said Premises are held or any or either of them shall so long happen to live Yielding and paying therefore at the End of the said Term the Rent of one Pepper Corn if the same shall be lawfully demanded To the Intent and Purpose that by Virtue of these Presents and by fforce of the Statute made for transferring uses into Possession the said Benjamin Neville may be in the actual Possession of the said Land and Premises and be thereby enabled to accept and take a Grant and release of the Reversion and ffreehold thereof to him the said Benjamin Neville his Heirs and Assigns during the several Lives mentioned in the said Indenture of Lease granted by the said Bishop of Winchester by which the Same are held as aforesaid In Witness whereof the said Parties to these Presents have hereunto interchangeably Set their Hands and Seals the Day and year first above written
